Travel from San José to the Arenal Volcano region, enjoying a journey that blends scenic landscapes with a taste of rural Costa Rican life. Descend more than 500 steps into the rainforest, each one bringing you closer to the thundering La Fortuna Waterfall. Continue along the 1968 Lava Trails, walking across solidified lava flows where nature is slowly reclaiming the land. This day is a vivid reminder of Arenal’s explosive past and its constant renewal.
