Born in San José and raised in a family of hunters, Fernando chose a different path—one rooted in conservation. Early mountain hikes turned into a lifelong passion for protecting nature and sharing it with others.
Specialized in ornithology through studies at Cornell University, Fernando leads bird-focused tours rich in scientific insight and deep respect for Costa Rica’s biodiversity. He’s also a proud participant in Cornell’s Global Big Day.
