Gustavo Abarca

Born in San José, Gustavo has been guiding since 1992, combining his background in biosciences, languages, and natural resource management to craft rich, cross-cultural experiences. His journey as a naturalist has taken him through some of the most remote areas of Costa Rica and Panama, guiding nature lovers, photographers, and bird watchers alike. Fluent in English and Italian, he has led travelers through remote areas of Costa Rica and Panama, and worked with NGOs, universities, and international delegations—from the UN to global academic institutions.
